Note
  • May also be performed on harmonium or piano. "If the suite is being performed on piano, the toot should be a whistle (preferably one which sounds at least two notes simultaneously) played by the primo player. When organ is used, the toot may be either a mouth whistle as above, or an approximation of a train whistle played on a separate manual with suitable registration." The 3rd movement has been recorded using a calliope with a "toot" button that sounded the chord B-E♭-G above middle C.
  • "Until 1972 the original manuscript eluded discovery, but one of its movements [the 3rd] was published in an 1810 collection entitled Original calliope works the whole world loves to play on their calliopes."
  • CONTENTS: Preloud. - O. K. Chorale. - Fuga vulgaris.
