- Engraved illustrated title page, printed in brown; title within a cartouche in center of heraldic and emblematic design based on the Imperial eagle, with motto "Suum cuique" above, and "Vicisti famam virtutib[us] tuis" in the corners; in the feathers of the eagle are Latin words forming, on the dexter side, an acrostic for "Mathias" (Matthias, then Holy Roman Emperor) and on the sinister side, terminating in shields representing the royal free cities; between the eagle's heads is a shield with the monogram of Matthias. See "'Maiestatis Hungariae aquila': Christoph Lackner and the hieroglyph of the Habsburg eagle," by Agnes Kusler (in Emblems and the natural world / edited by Karl A.E. Enenkel, Paul J. Smith, 2017, pages 419-453), pages 436-437.
- Illustrations (presumably designed and engraved by Lackner; see Kusler, page 419): 2 full-page engravings showing front and rear views of an emblematic crown modeled on the Holy Crown of Hungary, with 32 symbolic motifs in the place of the enamel panels in the actual crown; the name "Matthias II" (Matthias, the emperor, was Matthias II as king of Hungary) appears inside the crown and a coat of arms (in the front view) is displayed beneath it. These motifs are the basis of 32 small round emblematic engravings (plate mark approximately 58 mm in diameter) appearing throughout the text; there is also a series of 8 small woodcuts representing the jewels of the crown. "The thirty-two pictures ... come complete with mottoes and symbolize the virtues of an ideal ruler; their meanings are explained by classical, biblical and humanist quotations as well as by prose subscriptions supplemented by exempla. Lackner also provides a detailed description of the gems decorating the crown"--Emblematics in Hungary / Éva Knapp, Gábor Tüskés, 2003, page 55.
