- A reissue, with new t. p., of the revision of the Soames-Dryden translation of L'art poétique published by Curll in 1714 (dated 1715) with title: The art of poetry, in four cantos ... 2d ed., revis'd and compar'd with the last Paris edition. The new title and Curll's "To the reader" (on verso of t. p.) were added with reference to Pope's Dunciad, 1728, and Peri bathous: or Martinus Scriblerius his treatise of the art of sinking in poetry (Swift-Pope Miscellanies, the last vol., 1727), generally attributed to Pope.
