- A meeting sponsored by the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. This program focuses on the concerns of black women in the United States and Africa. It deals with the extent to which American black women identify with African black women, the degree to which black women participate in the affairs of developing African nations, educational opportunities for women in some of these countries, the limitations in developing nations, the similarities between the situations of black U. S. and African women, some traditional concerns of black women, how well the black women of the U. S. and Africa relate to each other, their participation in politics and business, the extent to which U. S. and African black women are working together, and some comments on the current situation in South Africa.
