- A meeting convened by the Racine Branch of NAACP and the NAACP Special Contributions Fund. This program features an interview with Margaret Bush Wilson, Chairman, National Board of Directors of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People It covers the history, objectives, and early leadership of the NAACP, reaction of todya's youth to the term "colored", today's membership, contributions of black real estate broker, James Bush, some things the organization started out to do with respect to oppression and personal safety, its legal thrust relative to basic rights in the areas of voting, education, and housing. Progress which has been made, the racial climate in the South and North today, the extent to which white people know about blacks, the need for fair and full implementation of the Civil Rights Law, prospects of the Carter Administration in these matters, the need to mobilize black leadership resources, the kind of leadership needed and the level of black financial support for the NAACP.
