This program focuses on the current situation in South Africa, the paradoxes existent in its society, the degree to which the press is free, prospects for alternatives to the current situation, the effect of Rhodesian policies on those of South Africa, the homelands policy, the prospects for forceful change, the effects of black demonstrations, lessons to be learned from the U. S. experience, the racial attitude of the South African white, the U. S. economic involvement in this country, the trade union system, the hypocrisy among nations with respect to South Africa, and South Africa's reaction to Carter's election.
