S., the diminishing support for the civil rights movement, the current level of activity, the lack of minority involvement in leadership roles, prospects of the Carter Administration in these matters, racism as an element of American society, the performance of Andrew Young, some major disappointments in racial justice, the main barriers to school desegregation, problems with political leadership, the situation in Detroit and Boston schools, and some solutions to the education problem.
