- James Boggs discusses the causes and the significance of the demonstration in Detroit in July 1968 in which hundreds of young Black auto workers, their wives, children, and friends, filled the sidewalks and streets outside the Chrysler Coporation's Dodge plant to protest discrimination in hiring and promotions by Chrysler and to demand Black doctors, Black supervisors, Black members of the board of directors, etc.
