- Reissue of the 3rd (2nd octavo) ed., which was originally issued in 30 pts., 1828-1830.
- Full-page stipple engravings, printed in color and finished by hand, including frontispiece; "Pl. 1ere [-3me]" in the "Traité du rosier" (47 p. at beginning of v. 1); and 180 unnumbered plates depicting varieties of roses, arranged in 26 groups, each plate accompanied by 1-4 p. of text, not numbered continuously (Rosa gallica officinalis has 7 p. of text; this issue includes 2 plates for the 2 vars. of R. banksiae). Some plates signed with engraver's initials: Ch. or Le M.
- "Notice biographique" of Thory by P. Beaumont (vi p. at beginning of v. 1) includes lithographed ports. of Thory and Redouté by C. Motte after Mauraisse, 1828.
