• Rebecca Hiester was born on July 4, 1781 in Reading, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Governor Hiester and his wife Elizabeth. She married Henry Augustus Philip Muhlenberg (born May 13, 1782 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; died July 11, 1844 in Reading) on June 7, 1808 in Pennsylvania. They had six children, including Rosa Catherine Muhlenberg who was born in 1820. Rebecca died on January 22, 1841 at the age of 59. Rosa died on May 15, 1867. (Information from Ancestry.com.)
