Each print includes engraved legend (9 lines of verse in terza rima), beginning on no. 1: "Chi manda le fanciule á suoni á balli" and concluding on no. 12: "Tal e lo specchio al fin de la puttana."
Subject: Genre scenes, some with views of Venice in background. No. 1 has small vignette of a woman with a mirror in lower left corner.
Apparently reduced copies or adaptations of a series of prints by Federico Agnelli issued with different verse legends (quatrains) under title: La carriera della cortigiana, Milan, ca. 1650.
