Summary
An interview with Richard Arrington, Jr., newly elected mayor of Birmingham, Alabama. Arrington discusses various issues facing Birmingham: racial reconciliation, fighting crime, downtown revitalization, housing stability, the need for economic viability, improving the educational system; he also comments on his choice among presidential nominees, the state of civil rights in America, the problem of racial instability in Boston and the voting patterns of whites and blacks in multi-racial political campains. The first seven minutes of the program is a look at current national and international news events.
