Summary
In the first program, host Herman Bandillo rides the New York City subway and asks riders their opinion of the Guardian Angels. Also, Curtis Sliwa, founder of the group, explains what it takes to become a member and talks about the problems they have on the job and with the transit police. In the second program, Bandillo speaks with William McKechnie, president of the Transit Police Benevolent Association, James Meehan, chief of the New York City Transit Police, Mayor Ed Koch and founder Curtis Sliwa about the problematic relationship between the Guardian Angels and the officially recognized city organizations.
