After reminiscing about his childhood experiences of the holiday, Butler talks about the occasion with the Reverend George Clements and his son Joey; Ida B. Wells' daughter, Mrs. Alfreda Duster; and Walter Payton and family. Also included is a performance by Albertina Walker and the Original Voices Choir and a brief rendition of the In Crowd with Ramsey Lewis, Jerry Butler and a group of children.
