• "The watercolours of the 'Parkes report'" (1 set of 19 col. ill. bound in, 1 set in portfolio) are facsims. of the drawings after which the lithographs illustrating the Parkes report were made.
• The Parkes report includes selections (p. 2-6, 13-15) translated from Jihē Kunisaki's Kamisuki chōhōki (Osaka, 1798). The present work also includes reproductions, printed on handmade Torinoko Gampi paper, of the 30 illustrated pages of Kamisuki chōhōki; these ill. (woodcuts by Niwa Tōkei) are the source of the drawings commissioned for the lithographs of the Parkes report.

Annesley and James J. Enslie, and a list of the samples collected by Parkes. The samples of paper and paper objects accompanying the original of the report are now in the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Museum of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
