Summary

Portraits of jazz musician Count Basie consisting of quarter and half-length studio portraits (many of which were used for publicity purposes); half-length candid portraits; views of Basie in performance and during a recording session; and in group portraits with other jazz musicians and acquaintances. Also included are views of Catherine Basie attending various social functions.
