- Summary
- Portraits and views of Liberian president Edwin Barclay. Collection consists of two half-length studio portraits (ca. 1930 and 1943); a full-length candid portrait of Barclay and his wife (ca. 1936); views showing Barclay meeting with United States president Franklin D. Roosevelt during the latter's visit to Liberia (1943); and views of Barclay's visit to the United States (1943), mainly in Washington, D.C., including a visit with Roosevelt at the White House, visiting the Capital, at a press conference at Blair House, on the steps of the Founders Library at Howard University, visiting Washington's tomb in Mount Vernon, visiting Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and visiting Arlington National Cemetery.
