Summary
Views of the first women to be elected president of the UN General Assembly, India's ambassador to Moscow, Washington, Mexico, London, Doblin, and Indian representative to the UN Human Rights Commission, Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit. The collection consist of portraits of Pandit with daughters, receiving awards, dining and shaking hands. Individuals identified in group portraits with Pandit include Alpha Kappa Alpha, daughters Tara, Lekha & Rita, Brigadier General Carlos Romulos & wife, A. Philip Randolph, Mrs Nora Holt, Raden Ojoe Farida Dyatiasmor of Indonesian League and Judge Jane Bolin. Half, three-quarter and full-length portraits are included.
