Summary

Portraits of photographer, filmmaker, composer and author Gordon Parks. Collection includes views of Parks in his photography studio; directing a film; at the Schomburg Center during an exhibition of his work with Catherine Lenix-Hooker; judging a contest with Jolie Gabor, George Woods Jr., and Sue Trowbridge; attending social events with his wife; at a tennis match with Pietro Binci and Arthur Ashe; and with a group of 90 African American photographers in honor of his 90th birthday (2002). Full, half and quarter length portraits are included.
