Summary
Views of author Alex Haley taken approximately between 1965 and 1980. Includes studio portraits (some promotional stills) and group portraits. Group portraits show Haley on Tony Brown's Journal, during a visit to Denmark, with artists Jon Qulam and Mahmed Raanza (sp?), behind a camera filming roots, with Maya Angelou and Levar Burton on the set of Roots, standing near a road marker at his boyhood home in Tennessee with Gambian North American Tourism director Samba M.B. Fye and in Gambia with African relatives. Half and full-length views are included.
