Summary

Portraits of U.S. Air Force general Daniel "Chappie" James. In addition to formal military portraits, there are views of James in the cockpit and in front of his plane. James is shown speaking at a press conference and at Andrews Air Force Base prior to his retirement. Other images include James receiving his fourth star, and the Freedom Foundation award. Group portraits of James include Gerald Ford at the White House, James Schlesinger, James Cowan, William Clements, and Dorothy James. There is one view of his son, Daniel III, and views of James' funeral attended by Walter Mondale. Full, half and quarter length images are available.
