Summary
Portraits of Schomburg Center chief and historian Howard Dodson. Collection includes views of Dodson in front of and inside the Schomburg; viewing exhibits, attending various functions with Ed Koch, Dick Gregory, and his wife Jualynne Dodson. Also pictured with Dodson are Geraldine Daniels, Nancy Morejón and other unidentified individuals presenting and receiving gifts. Documentation of an event "Black Visions '89: Movements of Ten dance Masters" depicts Dodson with Mayor Ed Koch and with dancers Tallley Beatty, Pearl Primus, Honi Coles, Arthur Mitchell, Marie Brooks, Geoffrey Holder and Kathrine Dunham (1989). An earlier image is of a young Dodson with his Boy Scout troop. Full, half and quarter-length views are available.
