Consists of illustrated title page, printed on sheet of handmade paper by Tom Leech; 8 folded sheets of Johannot paper numbered 1-8, each formed from 3 joined sheets and containing text and ill. for a canonical hour; and folded sheet containing colophon.
Text consists chiefly of selections from the Book of Psalms.
"This book of hours is indebted, first, to the Rule of St. Benedict and then, probably, to the more than 750 books of hours printed ... between 1460 and 1800"--Colophon.
The ill. include 8 full-page (image 36 x 51 cm.) col. photomechanical prints, printed letterpress, with "a few hand-done inclusions" and hot-stamped foil montage elements. Remaining ill. are chiefly monochrome reproductions of diagrams and altered photos. of birds. Cf. colophon.
