Iron is predominant among the materials used in making weapons represented in this collection. There is a wide range of weapon types and shapes. Decorative embellishments such as graphic designs on the face of the weapons and the use of varied materials such as wood, copper, ivory and leather, used for handles and sheaths provide examples of the aesthetic treatments of individual weapons within the collection.
