Summary
Portraits of fugitive slave, abolitionist, nurse, spy and social reformer Harriet Tubman. Collection consists mainly of individual portraits, some taken when she was quite elderly, and images of Tubman with her family, of her tombstone, an honorary plaque, a view of the Harriet Tubman Home and a copy of the title page of "scenes in the life of Harriet Tubman." Full and quarter length portraits are included. Also included are portraits of John Brown and Thomas Garrett.
