Summary

Portraits of photographer James Van Der Zee. Collection consists of quarter and half length portraits of Van Der Zee; a group portrait of Van Der Zee with Camille Billops and Owen Dodson, his co-authors on "The Harlem Book of the Dead" (1978); and an envelope with a silkscreen fragment showing a montage of Van Der Zee, a camera and a Van Der Zee photo of Harlem.
