Summary

Portraits of civil rights activist, pastor, congressman, U.N. ambassador and mayor Andrew Young. Collection includes views of Young speaking at press conferences, attending a U.N. Security Council meeting, conferring with David Owen, Joshua Nkomo, and Ion Datcu, at the White House with President and Mrs. Carter, Coretta Scott King, Martin Sr. and the King family, attending a Carter cabinet meeting with Theodore Sorensen, Charles Schultze, Bob Bergland, and James Schlesinger, presenting a letter to President William R. Tolbert, speaking at a rally, greeting Walter Fauntroy, and attending a political function that included Maxine Waters, Willie Brown and others. Full, half and quarter length portraits.
