The collection consists of individual portraits of clinic director Fredric Wertham and Dr. Hilde L. Mosse; group portraits of Wertham with others, including St. Philip's rector Shelton Hale Bishop; individual portraits of young patients; and views, that sometimes include Wertham, Mosse or Bishop, of staff meetings, individual and group interviews with young patients, observation of children playing with blocks, children checking out books from the clinic library, children playing with puppets, and a child writing. Also depicted are an outdoor staff party; a group of children standing beside an outdoor Christmas tree; and Wertham examining a rack of comic books bearing sensational titles.
