Summary
Portraits and candid shots of singer, songwriter and pianist Nina Simone, some of which were used for publicity purposes. Of note are views of Simone arriving at Carnegie Hall, performing there and talking with her fans afterwards (1965); performing at playwright Lorraine Hansberry's funeral, in Harlem (1965); and with her daughter Lisa Celeste (ca. mid-1960s). Full, half and quarter length portraits are included.
