- The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division's copy is originally part of the 135 Street Branch, Circulation Department. It's a pre-1926 gift, added to the Schomburg collection when Catherine A. Latimer was the collection librarian. It includes ink stamps of: "Division of Negro Literature and History;" Property of the City of New York;" and "The New York Public Library: Circulation Department, 135 Street Branch, 103 West 135th St." It includes NYPL's bookplate of Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection, early processing markings of the original Schomburg Collection and NYPLs perforated stamps. Library bound in black cloth over boards and gilt spine title.
