- The ill. consist of a diagonally rising or falling line, etched on the steel plates mounted on the case, embossed on the silk covers, painted in white on the case lining papers and endpapers and etched in charcoal gray throughout the text, where it may be seen 3 pages deep from any page, forming varied patterns. Etchings printed at the Printmaking Workshop by Marjorie Van Dyke and M'Lis Bartlett.
- Endpapers and case lining papers created by Paul Wong for Dieu Donné are "five-pigment, hand-mottled purple rust paper"--Henry. A blank bifolium of brown mottled handmade paper by Wong for Dieu Donné, bound in the middle of the book (between English and Persian texts), is counted in collation as p. [15-18].
- Binding: Publisher's dark navy blue silk with embossed line, by Zahra Partovi. Boards are in the shape of a trapezoid bisected at the spine, so that the diagonal motif is continued by trapezoidal front and back covers each exposing a triangular portion of the pages. Issued in a trapezoidal dark navy blue silk covered box made by David Bourbeau at Thistle Bindery, with carbide steel plates mounted on top and bottom (steel by Hector Perez, etched by Senneby). Size of box: 19 x 26 x 21 x 27 cm.
