Local Note
The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division's copy is a post-Lawrence Reddick addition to the Schomburg collection. It has a cataloging date of "November 7, 1949," according to G.K. Hall v. 9, page 7866, column 3, row 2. It includes NYPL's bookplate of "Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection," no NYPL perforated stamp or ink stamp. It contains some early processing marking of the original collection, but may have been treated and rebound in green cloth over boards, library binding, and gilt spine.
