- Local Note
- The Schomburg Center Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division has two copies of this pamphlet. Copy 1 is probably one of the items added to the collection when Catherine A. Latimer was the collection librarian; Lawrence Reddick was the Curator. It has a low acquisition number and includes NYPL's bookplate of "Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection," but has no NYPL's perforated stamp, ink stamp, or early processing marking of the original collection. It may have been treated and rebound in brown cloth over boards library binding with additional blank pages at the back; and gilt spine.Copy 2 is probably a post-Lawrence Reddick addition to the collection. The pamphlet has a late alphanumerical acquisition sequence and number. It contains an "Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection" bookplate but lacks the NYPL perforated stamp and any other stamps or processing markings of the original Schomburg Collection. Bound or rebound in black cloth over board library binding with additional blank pages at the back; and gilt spine.
