Local Note
The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division has two copies of this pamphlet. The copy in Sc Rare 326.8C-H (Howe, M. African colonization) (accession no. G19299) is a pre-1926 gift transferred to the Schomburg collection when Catherine A. Latimer was the collection librarian. Imperfect: The pamphlet is brittle, disbound, sewn, rebound in natural soft paper wrappers, and housed in a commercially made 4-flap archival binder. It lacks the perforated stamp and early processing markings of the original Schomburg Collection. It's accompanied by the original soft printed front cover pasted on a stiff paper board with an NYPL's bookplate of "Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection."
The other copy in Sc Rare+ F 12-9 (accession no [142347?]) is a post-Lawrence Reddick addition, added to the Schomburg collection probably in 2012; this copy is also imperfect: brittle, loose front cover, sewn, and disbound; it does not have an NYPL bookplate, NYPL perforated stamp, or early processing markings of the original Schomburg Collection. The pamphlet is in its original grey or natural printed wrappers, in an archival folder, and housed in a commercially made archival box with other pamphlets.
