- Views in Augusta and vicinity: includes street views; views of the gate and chapel of the Augusta cemetery, Confedrate Monument erected by the Ladies Memorial Association; the warping room in a cotton mill; the Revolutionary monument; the Confederate monument; Green Street, showing people lounging on the grass; Summerville street, showing fences and trees; Mrs. Edgar's house --"Hillside"; Reed Memorial church, Presbyterian; the bell tower erected in 1858 for the fire dept., showing spiral stairs, cupola; courthouse, African American men with wagon loads of watermelon; Broad Street showing businesses and street clock; fountain on Monument Street, courthouse in distance; cotton bales in the railroad yard; man checking cotton bales in a yard; African American men with bushels of cotton on their heads, men look on from bridge above; three African American children selling lightwood in the streets; a group of women and one man holding a spelling match; same group playing croquet, cattle in the background, details of the women's clothing visible; Dismal Swamp showing trees with hanging moss, an alligator, men in a flat bottomed boat.
