- African Americans in Florida: working in cotton fields; groups at home, pictured in front of log cabins and cottages: some of the views have captions such as "Uncle Tom's cabin," "Subject for reconstruction," "Love in a cottage," "Picturesque southern home;" one view showing woman checking the head of a child is captioned "An hour's search ; or Aunt Venus hunting for Florida fleas;" view of a man with a mule cart is captioned "15th amendment, or the darkey's millenium: 40 acres of land and a mule;"view of men and carts under a shade tree; view of "cooks, chambermaids, nurses and one hostler, found in and around St. Augustine, Florida;" a well dressed group with baby carriage, photographed at Ft.
