- Views of parks and cemeteries in Chicago, including: Central Park: a pond, people in a gazebo with benches; Douglas Park: the Douglas monument and the boathouse; Humboldt Park: man sits on a rowboat, 2-story gazebo beyond; Jefferson Park: people in rowboats, near follies, the swanhouse and gazebos, a bridge, a rustic bench near path; Lincoln Park: flower beds and greenhouse, swans and ducks, the eagle's cage, with a woman and baby carriage in front, the Polar bear and another bear at the Lincoln Park Zoo, the castle fountain, people in boats, relaxing on the lawns and under trees, bridges, the boat house, statue of Grant by Rebisso, a rocky pond with plants; arbor, greenhouse and fountain at P. Schuttler's grounds; South Park: general views of paths and lawns; Union Park: the bandhouse, winter scene showing ice surrounding miniature lighthouse (swan house?), man on rustic bridge and people in boat, paths and fountains, general view of lagoon and bridges; Washington Park: views of eleaborate floral plantings including "Golden Stairs and Gates Ajar," a sundial and the globe, large vases done in flowers and containing century plants, the greenhouse, the lily pond, a huge century plant in bloom, fountains, people watching platoon os soldiers marching, part of military manouvers; rose hill Cemetery: a view of the gates, view of the firemen's monument.
