- Views of the Boston Water Works, including the gate at Chestnut Hill Reservoir and the construction of the Sudbury River Conduit from the river via Wellesley, Neeedham & Newton to Boston's Chestnut Hill reservoir: views of a wooden dam on the Sudbury River and equipment used to measure the current; windmill, covered bridge; three dams under construction, showing cranes, coffer dams, foundations of dams and gate houses, men at work with masonry, including stones being hoisted into place, arches to carry conduits; conduit to Boston: view of the conduit going under the Boston & Albany tracks; construction views including digging cuts and tunnels for the conduit, constructing masonry conduits, building the multi-arched stone Waban Valley bridge; constructing waste weirs, siphon pipes, Charles River bridge at Needham being built, arch at Ellis St., Winster St. Bridge, includes details of wooden structures built to support the masonry arches when under construction; men at work, baskets of mortar, piles of bricks visible; view from inside the conduit showing bricklayers at work; men and horses grading; connection of the Sudbury pipeline with 48" pipe at effluent gate, Chstnut Hill Res.; water going over the spillways, and the gatehouses at Dams I-III.
