Views of Fort Sumter: views taken at various times from 1861 after the Union forces evacuated, to a 1903 view from a ship; includes interior views showing "gabions and bomb-proofs," views of debris and rock along the east face, views of bomb-pocked walls, and views showing it as not much more than a heap of dirt and bricks, view in 1872, showing lighthouse and ruins; Ft. Moultrie: views showing cannon and shot and war damage; the battery at Ft. Johnson on James Island, Ft. Sumter in the distance; view of the guns that shelled Charleston.
