Biography
Lithuanian Jewish civil engineer and holocaust survivor. After World War II Koniuchowsky was assigned to the Jewish refugee camp Kadimah in Rosenheim, Germany. During the years 1946-1949 he travelled to other camps in Germany, Austria, and Poland collecting eyewitness testimony from 170 fellow Lithuanian Jewish survivors regarding their experiences during the war. After his release from the camp he worked as an engineer for ORT and emigrated to the United States in 1951 where he worked as a civil engineer for the city of New York.
