Boat under a bridge in Rome, statues on pediments; the Arc de Triomphe, Paris; the porch of the Comédie Francais; a garden gate, house beyond, in St. John's Wood; rowhouse on the corner of a cobblestone street; ornate mantle with mirrors over it, damask wall paper surrounding it; the window of a grocery store and post office, with advertising signs and displays; steps leading to town houses, and lower windows of one of them.
