• Issued unbound, in a black oasis niger and black cloth portfolio, by David Bourbeau of Thistle Bindery; the leather covering front board is molded over a bas relief sculpture of a whale's head, by Alan James Robinson. Endleaves (2 sheets) of Tomoe Blue wave pattern decorative paper, one with blind embossed device of the Press.
• Accompanied by suite of the etchings (20 prints). Each print inscribed with a legend and the state and signed and dated in pencil; contains first and second state of the first etching and first to third states of each of the others. Issued in a quarter black oasis niger and black cloth portfolio with black leather label, which reads: Cetacea : state proofs.
• The 2 portfolios are contained in a quarter black oasis niger solander case, by Gray Parrot.

Spencer Coll. copy designated "Suite E"; signed in pencil by the artist, the binders (David Bourbeau and Gray Parrot) and the printer, H.P. McGrath.

Illustrations: 7 prints : etching, soft ground etching, drypoint, aquatint ; full-page. Printed by the artist at Cheloniidae Press. Each inscribed with a legend, designated "Suite E," signed and dated '81 in pencil. -- 2 prints : wood engraving, b&w ; image 12 x 93 cm., 13 x 19 cm. On t.p. and in colophon, respectively.
