- The authorship of Jean Bouchet is disclosed in an acrostic verse "Exortation ou par les premieres lettres des lignes trouuerez le nom de lacteur de ce p[re]sent liure: [et] le lieu d[e] sa natiuite" (p. [66]): these initials make "Iehan Boucet Natif de Poictiers."
