- At the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters 25th Anniversary Meeting, Ralph Bunche, representing the United Nations, congratulates the Brotherhood on their anniversary and talks briefly about his experiences in the Navy. He continues by talking about what the Brotherhood has done for the porters' jobs and status and explains how the American democracy has been enriched because of the Brotherhood's efforts. Topics include Negroes serving in the Korean War, their beliefs in regard to equality in society, and the U.N.'s stand against racial discrimination and on the Korean War.
