- Summary
- At the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters 25th Anniversary Meeting, a commercial narrated recording of the history of the Brotherhood and the Ladies Auxiliary is featured. A. Philip Randolph speaks at the end of the recording about the Brotherhood's 25th Anniversary, and how the Brotherhood will continue to fight for political and industrial democracy and oppose communism and fascism. It is then stated that the recording was made to be used as an educational tool. Following, is A. Philip Randolph introducing Senator Herbert H. Lehman who talks about the labor movement and the merging of the AFL and CIO. He expresses his support of the fair employment practice legislation, the anti-segregation amendment, a federal school construction bill, and federal aid to the Education Bill. He urges everyone to register to vote and to participate in the elections.
