- Summary
- En route to the 28th Anniversary meeting in Los Angeles of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, 1953, is a jovial group of some 300 Brotherhood and Ladies Auxiliary members gathered and enjoying themselves aboard the sleeping car "Convention Special". A selection of songs are featured first including a few sung by women of the Auxiliary. Ben McLaurin and Harvey Parham acting as hosts and introduce various men and women present from cities all over the country to say hello or to talk briefly. The mood is high and the members express feelings of happiness and accomplishment with having come so far in their struggles.
