- Summary
- The Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters honors the retiring members of the Brotherhood in an evening of music, poetry and speeches. Rosina Tucker, the International President of the Auxiliary, talks about more prosperous times in the years past and urges all members to organize and all women to join the Auxiliary. She introduces guests after which Ben McLaurin speaks. Some retired and soon-to-be retired members speak on their experiences from their years of service on the railroad and also about their philosophies of life and work.
