Biography
Mother Palmer (Elizabeth Palmer) was the Music Director at the Holy Trinity Ethiopian Orthodox Church, Bronx, N.Y. She was born in 1908 in Darlington, South Carolina and came to Harlem in 1918. Palmer was active in the field of music throughout her life, although she did not take up formal study until her children were grown. She has written music and poetry.
