- Consists of 39 sheets of handmade paper (white and various colors; various sizes), each folded as 2 leaves (except single leaves numbered 37 and 41) and arranged and bound in gatherings of various sizes.
- Leaf [2] blank except for pictorial watermark; leaves 34 and 37 blank except for number; all but leaves [3]-6, 37 and 41 have conjugate blank leaf, not included in foliation.
- Introductory section (2 sheets, leaves [3]-6) on paper by Green's Fine Papers (formerly J. Barcham Green), Hayle Mill, Maidstone, Kent. Includes 16 other papers (23 sheets) by Green's; 9 by Wookey Hole Mill, Inveresk Paper Co., Wells, Somerset; 2 by Aisling Handmade Papers, White Rose Craft Paper Mill, Saxton, Tadcaster, Yorkshire; and one each by Philip Rowson of Lansdowne Papers, Haslemere, Surrey (jute paper), T.D.R. Powell of Sheepstor Handmade Papers, Tavistock, Devon, and John Mason of Twelve by Eight Press, Leicester.
- Frontispiece (leaf [2]) is a full-page light and shade watermark on a sheet of Wookey Hole Mill paper, depicting a vatman at work.
- Binding, publisher's, by Gray's of Cambridge, of quarter dark red morocco and tan linen boards, with marbled endpapers (paper by Green's Fine Papers).
