- SUMMARY: Helen Gillespie, interpreter for Sol Hurok, discusses the current New York season of the Bolshoi Ballet. Maya Plisetskaya, aided by Miss Gillespie, discusses her training at the Bolshoi school; her performances in the U.S.S.R.; the influence of Vaganova on the Kirov Ballet; ballet schools in the U.S.S.R. In conclusion, Miss Gillespie discusses the financial arrangements for the dancers under Sol Hurok's contract with the Bolshoi Ballet.
